For the Shakespeare season, the final major project of Year 12 at BRIT, I was given the role of lighting designer on Titus Andronicus.
This was my first designer-level role and gave me an opportunity to experience the full production process. I collaborated with the production electrician and stage management on a lamp post practical light, and with the set and costume teams on my colour choices. I also worked with the two other lighting designers in considering a rig plan. This show was both outside, adding safety and practicality considerations to my design, but also came with the challenges of a limited budget and small fixture stock. The show was programmed and run by me using an ETC Element lighting console.
